Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, cleaning supplies have been selling out at a rate never seen before. Everyone is stocking up to keep themselves safe, but you might be surprised at how far just a single bottle of bleach will go in your fight to keep yourself and your family safe during this epidemic. Bleach is a very potent and dangerous chemical, so it should not be used undiluted. Instead you should mix about 2% of bleach in some water to create a solution that will kill COVID-19. That would translate to 4 teaspoons of bleach in a quart of water.

It is also important that you don’t just wipe off the solution immediately after applying it to the surface. It will need a few seconds to effectively kill the virus. If you have been unable to get bleach for your home, you could use another alternative, such as a solution with at least 60% alcohol or an EPA registered disinfectant.
