Ice Dam Issues – Ice dams cause huge issues for homeowners because they can lead to water getting into the building. If this occurs, the following could appear;

Rotting for exterior and interior walls, framing, and the roof decking.
Over time, the paint may peel and blister if the water gets inside the wall cavities. At times, we believe it not related to the ice dam because it can take some time to show.
Finally, the insulation may weaken both now and in the future. If insulation is extremely wet, it won’t decompress after drying. Therefore, even more heat will escape than previously, this will cause more ice dams, and the whole process will spiral out of control.
