Unless you are a smoker yourself, you probably don’t care much for the smell of cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, some have ended up with a home that was previously owned by a smoker and found it difficult to deal with the smell. Sometimes tobacco odor won’t show up until after you have moved into a home. This is because the smoke particles could be stuck inside of filters in the HVAC system or there could be a film on lightbulbs that isn’t noticed until the light is lit.

If you want to get rid of the odor, you need to do some serious cleaning. Smoke particles from tobacco are very tiny and they can make it into all parts of your home if someone had the habit of smoking indoors. Replacing filters and lightbulbs can help, but a thorough scrub-down of the entire home, sometimes more than once, might also be needed.
